  • Overview

    Scope: The position is for a Systems Engineer II to work on Helmet Mounted Display, Mission Computer, Cockpit Display, EO/IR System, Missile Warning and Electronic Warfare Systems development programs at the Elbit Systems of America (ESA) Fort Worth site. This position requires the successful candidate to demonstrate at least two years’ experience in Systems Engineering for Aerospace or Military Applications.

    Responsibilities

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable):

    • Ability to deal with complex problems in an international environment of cultural diversity.
    • Familiarization with the lifecycle processes used in the development of military systems  

    Responsibilities & Tasks:

    • Review, develop and document system level operational concepts and mission statements.
    • Research and evaluate highly complex system designs and/or architectures to recommend design modifications to:
      • Enhance current and/or future capabilities
      • Meet platform and system level requirements
      • Identify and make recommendations to eliminate design flaws
    • Perform system/product integration.
    • Verification and validation of highly complex system designs to ensure conformance with functional specifications and customer requirements.
    • Assist upper level management in identifying potential new products or business opportunities and defining associated program requirements.
    • Support proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost estimating and presentation activities.
    • Produce and/or review technical documents, specifications and standards.
    • Prepare and/or deliver Management and Technical level presentations.
    • Provide extensive outside contact with customers, ESA affiliates, government officials and other contractors.
    • An ability to effectively document and communicate designs, results, reports, status and presentations.
    • Work independently and with internal/external organizations
    • Willingness to travel Domestically and Internationally.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree is required.

     

    Specific Degree Field: Aeronautical, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Software or Systems Engineering

     

    Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated DOD Clearance at the Secret level.

     

    Experience Required:

    Functional (Using Skill Set): 10+ years
