    Scope: The Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) Sustainment Program Manager I will be responsible for providing Sustainment and Support Solutions for all current and future HMD programs. The HMD Sustainment Program Manager position will establish and execute sustainment program plans that meet the business objectives specified by proposal, management direction and/or cost or profit needs. The HMD Sustainment PM is also the lead for all RCEVS Sustainment activity in the US for the HMD portfolio of products, except for those on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.


    Responsibilities & Tasks:


    • Profit and loss responsibility for the program(s) managed.
    • Establish and execute sustainment program plans that meet the business objectives specified by proposal, management direction, and/or cost/profit needs.
    • Establish Integrated Program Team (IPT) organization as necessary and the infrastructure needed to meet business goals.
    • Establish SOW, IMS/IMP, PCA, DTC and tasks to meet program plan.
    • Be the sustainment expert for the customer and end user including organization and operational knowledge.
    • Establish and execute sustainment program plans for the Transition of Technology (ToT) for all products within the product line portfolio to establish and maintain self-sufficient sustainment operations in the USA for all HMD products sold via the US DoD, to meet the business objectives specified management.
    • Responsibility for customer interface and satisfaction, including cost and schedule.
    • Support Sustainment and Support Solutions efforts to obtain new business.
    • Coordinate and obtain performance commitments and resources from RCEVS member companies as required to execute program plans and meet customers’ sustainment objectives.
    • Adhere to internal and external standards and core values.
    • Provide linkage to ESL on sustainment programs.      
    • Provide linkage to RCEVS on sustainment programs.      
    • Lead effort for all U.S. pursuits and programs.
    • Ensure ITAR/TAA/DSP-5 compliance is attained.
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

    • Can act as manager for functional staff assigned to the current program.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Maters degree (10+ years managment experience may substitute)

    Bachelor Degree (5-10 years functional experience may substitute)

    Business; Accounting, Finance, Industrial Mgt. preferred 

    1-3 years industry experience required

    5-10 years function experience



    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required :

    • Department of Defense contract familiarity.
    • Experience in manufacturing/engineering/defense/commercial environment.
    • Exposure to Project/Program Management and project control systems.
    • Previous Profit and Loss Responsibility is desired.
    • Strong PC based computer skills to include MSOffice suite.
    • Accomplished in the synthesis, presentation and communication of program data to senior management.
    • The successful candidate to be motivated, flexible and able to work with minimal oversight.
