    Scope: The Operations Quality Engineer II provides Quality Management and Process Improvement support to assigned work areas in Operations, including production and product support. Support programs and process improvement within Operations to maintain ESA Fort Worth’s management system, drive customer satisfaction and continual improvement with in the EFW Fort Worth facility.

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities & Tasks:

     

    • Develop and implement quality control for assigned programs, as directed by Senior Value Stream Manager. Ensure that all internal and external customer requirements are met throughout the production process.
    • Process Validation:
    • Develop Variation management plans (SPC).
    • Verify Process Key Characteristics.
    • Assist in developing Process Flow Charts.
    • Review of Process FMEA’s.
    • Support New Process Introduction (NPI) activities to include witnessing & recording results of pre-production runs and verifying completion any corrective actions.
    • Lead First Article Inspection (FAI) activities for assigned programs.
    • Verify operator certification.
    • Certify production lines.
    • Process Monitoring:
    • Participate in design reviews for development programs, as directed by Operations Quality Engineering Manager.
    • Monitor product configuration.
    • Ensure program compliance with control plans.
    • Conduct process audits.
    • Conduct periodic sampling inspection of product.
        • Coach operation team members on Quality Management System requirements.

        • Initiate and participate in continual improvement activities:
        • Corrective Actions.
        • Preventive Actions.
        • Process Improvement.
        • Continuous Improvement.
    • Review quality performance metrics for assigned programs:
    • Ensure metrics are identified and prepared for all programs and distributed to appropriate persons.
    • Compile and present quality performance information:
        • Internal production performance.
        • Supplier quality.
        • Support FRACAS with analysis.
        • Provide feedback on quality of data.
        • Present summaries of quality performance measurements at PMR’s.
    • Assist Program Quality Managers in responding to customer issues for assigned projects:
    • Corrective actions.
    • Returns.
    • Complaints.
    • Audits.
    • Subcontractor problems.
    • Support customer audits and source inspection.
    • Support customer audits and source inspection.
    • Adhere to internal ethics/procedures and external regulations and laws.
    • Meet the Quality Management & Process Improvement performance goals as agreed upon with the Operations Quality Engineering Manager.
    • Complete projects - as assigned by the Operations Quality Engineering Manager.
    • Analyze, manage and implement Value Stream Transformation activities as developed by the IPT
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

    • Prevent the delivery of ESA products, documents, services, or other articles to customers or other stakeholders when there is evidence that they may not meet customer, statutory, regulatory, ESA, or other stakeholder requirements.
    • Recommend to the Manager Supplier Quality Engineering the suspension of the use of suppliers when there is evidence that the products may not meet ESA, customer, statutory, regulatory, or other stakeholder requirements.
