    Provides advanced technical field service support to customers and Authorized Repair Facilities. Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering and technical support services required in the installation, operation and maintenance of instruments, equipment and systems. Develops, maintains, and updates as necessary training programs on Elbit Systems of America- Merrimack products; conducts training in both operation and maintenance of equipment. Consult with engineering personnel to resolve problems in system operation and maintenance. Travel to field-sites located throughout the world for extended periods of time.

    Responsibilities

    1. Provide direct field engineering support services at customer facilities during installation and integration of products. Provide ongoing follow-up service after delivery to instruct customers in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
    2. Perform liaison duties between Elbit Systems of America- Merrimack engineering and customers on developmental programs
    3. Respond to all customer service inquiries and follow‑up with proper and concise written records or reports to proper authorities.
    4.  Assist in developing plans to resolve technical issues and problems with Elbit Systems of America- Merrimack products where necessary. Make periodic visits to resolve technical problems, provide training and expertise to maintain good customer communications.
    5. Recommend engineering/design modifications to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability of equipment and systems
    6. Assist Quality Control in source inspections required by customer and support Elbit Systems of America- Merrimack manufacturing personnel.
    7. Support the business units and marketing, as required, to assess customer requirements, provide technical support for demonstrations, develop logistics support and technical support proposals for customer requirements in support of marketing efforts
    8. During visits to customer sites and aircraft operators, identify customer needs and develop momentum business opportunities. Provide recommendations and visit reports.
    9. Support training programs for operation and maintenance courses for Elbit Systems of America- Merrimack's products, including course outlines and lesson plans, and conduct training courses, as required, for customer personnel
    10. Participate in design reviews, and recommend revisions or additions to technical publications pertaining to equipment and systems
    11. Provide test support for engineering development projects.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

    • Incumbents must possess a diversified knowledge of engineering principles
    • Strong customer relationship skills

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6 years of related field experience or 8 or more years of related field experience to be proficient in the above areas
    • 2 years experience working with customers
    • Must possess 5 years experience of diversified knowledge of engineering principles
    • 5 years experience Technical and troubleshooting

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Specific Industry experience strongly preferred
    • Commercial Avionics systems experience
    • Familiar with FAA certification process
    • Electrical optical systems experience
