  • Overview

    The Senior Director of Communication will direct all Elbit Systems of America’s communications.  This includes setting the communications strategy, overseeing the execution, and leading the communications team.  This includes all internal communications such as ESA Today and company newsletters and external communications such as Advertising, Press Releases, and Company Overviews and Brochures.



    Responsibilities & Tasks: 

    • Develop and execute a communications strategy and vision
    • Supervise and participate in the writing, approval, and publishing of relevant external communications in support of that strategy
    • Promote a one-company, one-voice approach to our internal and external communications.
    • Lead and Manage the Communications staff.
    • Initiate, develop, produce and place advertising copy and graphics for Elbit Systems of America, Business Units, and teaming partners as needed.
    • Supervise and participate in the development of internal communications initiatives such as ESA Today, newsletters, site communications etc.
    • Coordinate with Marketing VPs, Field Site Representatives, BU lead to develop compelling collateral products to support business growth
    • Design, structure oversee the writing and graphic development for company overview presentations
    • Manage advertising budget.



    • Supervise writers, editors, graphic artists
    • Signature Authority to obligate funds for advertising and communications initiatives.
    • Selection authority for vendors/suppliers related to marketing programs.

    • Corporate ESA Staff
    • Elbit Corporate Communications staff
    • ESA Business Unit Vice Presidents, Business Development & Program Management staff
    • ESA Marketing Vice Presidents and Customer Field Site Representatives
    • Executives from Vendor companies


    Bachelor's Degree is required. 10+ years management experience may substitute.

    • Experience with supervising and motivating professional staff.
    • Skilled at being accurate and precise with written documents.
    • Strong personal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
    • Strong influencing skills, ability to convey ideas across all disciplines.
    • Familiarity with industry recognized processes and best practices.
    • Strong work ethic, initiative and commitment to developing quality outputs.
    • Ability to determine priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Experienced in Project Management techniques.
