  • Overview

    Execute sales strategy, initiate contact with existing and potential customers, identify needs and sell appropriate merchandise and services to meet those needs. Must have ability to manage an account manager staff of 4 people.


    • Manages multiple accounts.
    • Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
    • Ensures the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
    • Identifies client requirements, determines schedule availability, promotes services, defines process and related materials, provides quotation & contracts, acquires customer paperwork, mediates process, resolves issues, and communicates job status.
    • Calls prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, and creates a customer supplier relationship.
    • Increase sales in respective accounts.
    • Forecast and track key account metrics.
    • Prepare sales information for customers.
    • Establishes buying influences, budgets and purchasing criteria for assigned accounts.
    • Represents the client’s interests within the company and serves as the client’s liaison.
    • Secures and places orders taking into consideration delivery dates and inventory levels for fulfillment.    
    • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed.
    • Responsible for understanding the Client’s organization & structure, knowing the Client’s product/services and staying aware of Client news and changes.
    • Meet time deadlines for accounts.
    • Build strong team capable of growing existing accounts
    • Handles proposal for  RFQ’s within our organization





    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3-5 years account management; business management; 5+ years defense/aerospace industry knowledge.
    • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.


    • Excellent leadership, problem-solving and sales solution skills required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Experience in developing customer relationships including very good negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
    • Must have the ability to effectively present information, respond and follow-up to questions and inquiries from clients, other managers and subordinates.
    • Present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • Manage and solve conflicts with clients.
    • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to work quickly and accurately on an independent basis; giving great attention to detail and displaying the initiative to quickly identify and resolve variances, failures and discrepancies.
    • Ability to establish and maintain goodwill with client(s).
    • At least 5 years of management experience.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


    Some exposure to elements of weather when traveling and/or commuting between buildings.



    The employee is frequently required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Requires the use of either or both hands for grasping items, manual dexterity is required, and the ability to push/pull; i.e., open/close file cabinets and/or handle machinery. Requires sustained periods of concentration.
