  • Overview

    The Project Coordinator represents an entry-level position for a career in Project Management at the ESA, LLC Fort Worth Operations Site.  Under the direct supervision of Program Manager, Rotor Wing / Tilt Rotor Programs (RW/TR). The Project Coordinator will assist RW/TR Program Manager in managing all aspects of these programs within their sustainment life cycle.

    Responsibilities

    The Project Coordinator will support the RW/TR PM and will take the responsibility to verify that the day to day operation of the receipt/return of assets, as well as expedite shipping of assets to ESL for further repair that cannot be completed at RC-Atlanta or ESA-TDO, or any assets that are mis-shipped to ESA-FWO are shipped to the applicable repair center, applying for the export licenses if applicable, initiating PSRs to invoice Cost Items, updating and maintaining the shipping/billing log, creating service orders, or CWTs with ESL, monitoring receipt of parts from ESL, having them pegged to service warehouse and shipping. Monthly and weekly customer asset status/CDRL requirement reports. Other projects, assignments as needed.

     

    General Responsibilities & Tasks:

     

    • Plan, execute, monitor and control then close assigned project/project phases as needed.
    • Apply best practices in project management to ensure projects: (1) are completed on time and within budget and scope, (2) produce a quality product, and (3) result in customer satisfaction.
    • Review deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and quality before submitting them to the customer.
    • Participate in the proposal process if and when needed
    • Ensure contracts, purchase orders and status reports are maintained as required.
    • Assist Program Manager in maintaining positive relationships with customers; both internal and external.
    • Adhere to applicable ITAR, TINA, FAR, Export Compliance, EMD, Safety, and Security requirements.
    • Engage in continuous process improvement and submit Document Improvement Suggestion (DIS) forms to promote positive changes within the company.
    • Ensure project and product documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

     

    • Authorities:

     

    • Coordinate project activities within ESA, ESL, sub-contractors, and customers.
    • Execute all approved plans.

    • Business Unit - Program Managers and Director.
    • Project Managers, Production Managers, O&R Manager, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Planners and ESL Project Managers.
    • Common Process Managers.
    • Material Managers and Buyers.

    • Sustaining Engineers and Manager.
    • ESL - Program Managers and Director.

    Outside Business Relationships:

    • Contractors and sub-contractors.
    • Counterparts at ESL, Ltd.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    Associate Degree Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred (5-10+ years functional experience may substitute.

     

    Certifications/Licenses

         

    Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP)

                                   or equivalent certification

     

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable):

     

    • Basic knowledge of project management methods, tools, and techniques.
    • Basic knowledge of ESA business, structure, and relationship with ESL.
    • Basic knowledge of MRP systems, purchase orders, and sales order routers.
    • Basic knowledge of contracts: fixed price, cost plus, and time and materials.
    • Basic skills in time management, meeting facilitation, and problem-solving.
    • Basic skills in the use of MS Office, Visio, Outlook, and Project.
    • Basic ability to clearly communicate ideas verbally and in writing.
    • Basic ability to create and give project management review presentations.
    • Basic ability to negotiate and apply tact and diplomacy with internal/external customers and foreign personnel.
    • Basic interpersonal / teaming skills
    • Basic ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated product team.
