  • Overview

    Elbit Systems of America’s Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for providing substantive export and import compliance expertise, guidance and support to the entire company. Serving as a key leader within the company’s trade compliance program, reporting to the Director, Trade Compliance, this role’s primary duty is to ensure that the company’s business activities are carried out in accordance with applicable U.S. and international trade compliance-related laws and regulations with a focus on leading the function’s move toward greater automation.


    • Serve as an Empowered Official as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”)
    • Act as a Technology Control Officer, ensuring the company’s compliance with the requirements of its Special Security Agreement
    • Actively lead development and implementation of automation solutions across the export licensing, agreements, export and import clearance processes, and other trade compliance-related areas
    • Support and manage the roll-out of the new company-wide ERP solution from a trade compliance perspective
    • Lead the development of a new trade compliance training package for distribution across the company
    • Provide primary ownership of the company’s Denied Parties Screening processes
    • Provide subject matter expertise in various relevant trade compliance laws and regulations, including the ITAR, Export Administration Regulations, Office of Foreign Asset Control Regulations, U.S. Customs Regulations, ATF Regulations and applicable foreign trade control regulations
    • Work with internal program personnel to support and facilitate their international export/import needs
    • Maintain records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
    • Actively participate in the company’s internal trade compliance audit program
    • Provide guidance and training to company personnel
    • Other trade compliance-related duties, as assigned


    • A Bachelor's Degree and 5-10 years in trade compliance management or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of various PC software applications is required. Ability to work independently, with minimal follow-up and guidance.
    • Previous experience with automation tools and technology required
    • Advanced USML and ECCN classification and licensing experience
    • Experience with U.S. Customs requirements preferred
    • Will need to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
