    Responsibilities

    1. Support multiple programs and Buyer/Planners through progressively increasing responsibility and complexity:
      1. Execution of purchase orders.
      2. Soliciting proposals and quotes from suppliers
      3. Reading and responding to planned order reports
      4. Conducting material transactions in Material Resource Planning (MRP) system
    2. Gain an understanding of aerospace-defense industry supply network(s) by supporting purchasing and material management processes
    3. Receive exposure to procurement within Department of Defense guidelines and regulations
    4. Visit local suppliers with seasoned personnel to learn about different component manufacturing types/commodities and how they support ESA
    5. Learn about and gain understanding of supply chain metrics, continuous improvement methods, and integrated product team operations

    Qualifications

    • 2 or more years of undergraduate coursework primarily in business or supply chain.
    • Ability to work independently and pro-actively follow-up on plans/projects effectively.
    • Strong prioritization skills along with the ability to multi-task.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Oracle experience a plus.
