    The UAS Flight Operation-Site Manager Assistant in Fargo, ND is expected to help support operations and further program objectives at the Elbit Systems of America’s UAS test site in Casselton, North Dakota. In support of those objectives, the UAS Flight Operation-Site Manager Assistant will be required to ensure smooth daily operations, participate in testing activities, and assisting the site manager. The UAS Flight Operation-Site Manager Assistant works with the site manager to support the testing activities and meet the objectives of 2018 Summer Operations.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities & Tasks:

     

    • Assists the Site Manager and North Dakota team with the following:
      • General administrative work & logistics help
      • Hanger maintenance and cleanup
      • Site build-up and tear down
      • Ensure that no unauthorized personnel can interact with the equipment
      • Monitoring and managing our stocks of consumable equipment
      • Manage data transfers and uploads from the test site to our data center
      • Other duties as assigned by the Site Manager
      • Perform ground based visual observer tasks to help the team de-conflict with any traffic on the ground and in the air around the airport. Become familiar with basic aviation radio terminology allowing for communication with local aviation traffic.  

    Qualifications

    Education (Highest Level Required/Preferred):

    High School Diploma Required.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable): 

    • Computer proficiency is a must, will be trained on proprietary software
    • Working knowledge of MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Ability to deliver quality work by deadline.
    • Able to function effectively in a dynamic environment and seamlessly juggle multiple tasks
    • Excellent communications (oral and written)
    • Proficient command of English

    Unique working conditions or physical demands in this job:

     

    • Office Location: Casselton Robert Miller Regional Airport (Hanger)
    • FAA Certification is NOT required
    • Requires local travel to remove cassettes from the aircraft to the data center twice a day
      • Company leased car & insurance provided
    • Must have a valid driver's license
    • Hours: Part time; 20-40 per week; Job is very weather dependent
    • Assist with logistical support
    • Fast-paced; Deliverables and deadline-oriented
    • Work with the Site Manager & pilots as a backup observer for safety during take off and landing
