Overview

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

 

Coordinates and completes avionics/electrical systems designs. Interface with MRO during installations and assist in systems verification.   Reports directly to Team Leader, Avionics/Electrical.

 This will be a 6month + contract

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  1. Develop and prepares drawing for avionics installation and/or coordinates requirements with subordinates.
  2. Prepares drawings for aircraft power distribution.
  3. Prepares drawings for instrument, circuit breaker and annunciator panels.
  4. Determines location of all installed avionics/electrical equipment to avoid electrical interference or exceeding environmental limits of equipment.
  5. Ensures compatibility of all avionics/electrical equipment installed.
  6. Create Acceptance Test Procedures.
  7. Assist in preparation of FAA certification test plans.
  8. Provides diagrams of all completed work to accompany aircraft.
  9. Support in service aircraft service difficulty issues.
  10. Assist with proposals and manpower estimates.
  11. Daily attendance is an essential.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

 

Requires a BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

 

EXPERIENCE, SKILL, AND KNOWLEDGE:

 

Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years’ experience in General Aviation avionics/electrical systems design and installation.

A minimum of 5000 hrs experience using AutoCAD 2000 or later required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is located in aircraft hanger.

Work in area that is mechanically heated and cooled.

Some exposure to elements of weather when traveling and / or commuting between buildings.

Requires sustained periods of concentration.

Must be able to handle stressful situations without affecting logical decision making.
