Overview

Provide support, guidance and oversight to Elbit Systems of America’s Foreign Military Funding (FMF) Business Unit, acting as the primary trade compliance representative for the group.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provide trade compliance support to Elbit Systems of America’s Foreign Military Funding (FMF) Business Unit, acting as the primary trade compliance representative for all FMF-related activities.
  • Create, review and file necessary import/export shipping documentation required to support international logistics activities.
  • Support the company’s transition toward self-filing import and export transactions.
  • Assign HTSUS/Schedule B codes, as required.
  • Facilitate the movement of products that often require export or temporary import licenses from the Departments of State or Commerce.
  • Coordinate FMF program needs, ensuring licenses and Technical Assistance Agreements are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Work with internal program personnel to support and facilitate their international shipping requirements.
  • Support the USILFTA Free Trade Agreement process.
  • Maintain records in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support the company’s internal trade compliance audit program.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the company’s freight forwarders, brokers and other external service providers.
  • Provide guidance and training to company personnel.
  • Other trade compliance-related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  •  A Bachelor's Degree and 3-7 years in facilitating export transactions and other export compliance related activities or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of various PC software applications is required. Ability to work independently, with minimal follow-up and guidance.
  • Previous experience with exports regulated by the Departments of State preferred.
  • Experience with U.S. Customs requirements.
  • Must have direct experience with Electronic Export Information filings.
  • Prior USML and ECCN classification experience preferred.
