Scope:  The Financial Analyst III will provide strong business support to S&SS site leadership in order to ensure financial & operational objectives are met. Will be a trusted business partner to corporate and site leadership for advice and guidance that supports value based decision making.

Responsibilities & Tasks:


  • Orchestrate the monthly iteration forecasts and annual AOP development process for the S&SS Fort Worth site, and be accountable for the reliability, timeliness and accuracy of such.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers to understand program cost drivers and maintain program cost forecasts.
  • Publish program EACs on a cadence required by ESA policy.
  • Accountability for analysis and communication of monthly and quarterly financial results vs plan. Examples include P&L, Backlog, A/R, New Business, Cash receipts, etc.
  • Assist in the development of strategic and operational objectives.
  • Ensure ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements are being met for the S&SS Fort Worth site
  • Establish, gain agreement on, monitor and communicate performance metrics that support business objectives.
  • Prepare and coordinate ad hoc financial analyses at the direction of management
  • Support special projects, primarily in the area of process improvement, documentation, and automation
  • Promote high performing work environment through ethical business behavior, accountability, and ongoing skill development.
  • Keep abreast of the latest systems and philosophies related to financial management information systems leveraging the SRC financial reporting system (a.k.a. - Business Objects Budgeting/Reporting). Participate in developing recommendations and implementing appropriate changes.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:



BA/BS in Business, Accounting or Finance required

MBA in Business or Finance preferred


Experience Required:

Minimum 5 years experience in a corporate finance setting

Minimum 5 years experience in the DoD contractor industry


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable):


  • Ability to analyze problems & provide innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of ESA’s EAC policy and methods of preparation
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures & analytical/planning techniques & methods.
  • Familiarity with ESA practices for forecasting and reporting of variances to plan
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must possess high standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Position may require up to 10% travel
