Overview

Overview:   The position is for an Cybersecurity Engineer to become responsible for the integration of cybersecurity principles across the Elbit Systems of America product lines in one or more of the following areas: analyze software, firmware and hardware designs and implementations from a security perspective, and identify and resolve security issues. Become a subject matter expert in security analysis, defenses and countermeasures at each phase of the software, firmware and hardware development lifecycle; understand principles of cybersecurity (confidentiality, integrity, availability); and security verification testing of the diverse portfolio of Elbit products providing value to our Department of Defense and government customers.

  • Analyze software and firmware designs and implementations from a security perspective, and identify and resolve security issues
  • Analyze hardware designs and implementations from a security perspective, and identify and resolve security issues
  • Recommend cyber defense and countermeasures for product designs
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis of source code to achieve Software Assurance (SwA)
  • Conduct penetration testing on selected product lines
  • Performing and supporting Security Vulnerability Assessments
  • Research and knowledge into threat models and security assessments of cybersecurity services, platforms and infrastructure
     

Qualifications

 

 

Minimum Relevant Experience Required:

 

Bachelor degree required.

Specific Degree Field:

Bachelor Degree (BS or BA). Degree in technical engineering or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable)

  • Demonstrated understanding of system security vulnerabilities and attacks vectors
  • Software development experience in one of the following core languages: C, C++ or C#

 Desired Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to distill complex problems down too easy to understand, consumable chunks
  • Ability to work closely with product development teams to enforce cybersecurity best-practices for product designs
  • Suggest and implement new tools and efficiency improvements for development of secure software
  • Familiarly and understanding of National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) SP 800-53, 800-37, etc. policies
  • Familiarly in the use of static and dynamic software vulnerability tools, (HP Fortify, Klocwork, Nessus/Tenable, Retina) and other security tools
  • Past experience conducting penetration testing

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Certified Systems Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)

Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
