  1. Responsible for carrying out specific technical assignments in order to solve a variety of engineering problems involved in the design and development of products, equipment, or processes. Design, modify, or select complex items such as mechanisms, components, etc.
  2. Develop specifications against which designs can be produced. Translates experimental results into design criteria.
  3. Formulate design criteria, perform analysis to select the best technical approach. Specifies phases of design, test, investigation or analysis.
  4. Conduct advanced computer simulations to design or test products.
  5. Assist manufacturing in transition from development into production.
  6. Determine appropriate materials and processes for specific applications.
  7. Prepare and review engineering specifications and procedures.
  8. Produce and evaluate engineering prototypes.
  9. Conduct field testing and research work for new or existing applications.
  10. Assist in preparing cost estimates on proposed major design products.
  11. Ensure that sound scientific principles are applied in laboratory or pilot plant work.
  12. Troubleshooting customer application problems.
  13. Ensure component reliability based on technical evaluation of vendor's designs and manufacturing processes.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned



Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent scientific discipline and 5 or more years of related experience.

Incumbents should possess a broad knowledge in mechanical engineering and a good basic knowledge of principles and practices in related specifications.

SolidWorks and/ or Ansys experience is a plus.
