  • Overview

    The Sr. Engineering Technologist researches, plans, designs, develops, analyzes and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including displays, sensors, processors, interface units and other electronic devices; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment to develop or improve products and facilitate Production/Manufacturing Operations.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Design and Build a computer board from Hardware to Circuits.
    • Produce preliminary reports and analysis
    • Being able to troubleshoot electrical/electronic assemblies/sub-assemblies
    • Produce preliminary schematics
    • Investigate subassemblies for incorporation into designs
    • Design and run validation testing
    • Participate in design reviews
    • Maintain and support test equipment
    • Manage an Engineering Project, controlling cost & Schedule
    • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor

    Authorities:

     

    • Operates under the supervision of his/her manager.

     

    Business Relationships:

     

    • Consult vendors on components and make final component selections.
    • Directly interfaces with other Departments.

     

    Qualifications

    Education:

     

     

            Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.        

        

                                           

        

     

    Training Pre-requisites (Within One Year of Taking Position):

     

            ESD

            Safety Training, as dictated by Safety Department

           

             

     

     

    Minimum Relevant Experience Required (Enter Number of Years or NA for Not Applicable):

     

            10+

     

     

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Preferred:

     

    • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent experience
    • Ability to organize a design effort
    • Proficiency with schematic capture tools
    • Ability to use electrical analysis packages
