Elbit Systems of America/M7 Aerospace, Services and Support Solutions, based in San Antonio delivers depot-level repair, manufacturing, field service support, logistics support, aircraft modifications, reliability upgrades, aircraft level contractor logistics support as well as maintenance and repair for commercial and sophisticated military electronic systems and components. Programs include: aftermarket support and sustainment provider of Elbit and non-Elbit spares, repairs, and logistics solutions encompassing weapons systems supporting all DOD And many foreign entities. 


All Government and Customer Owned Property. The Government Property Person (Specialist/Administrator/Manager) will perform routine internal audits of the 15 property functions; (Contractor Self-Oversight) and coordinate annual physical inventories of Government Property located on-site as well as Government Property located at subcontractor sites. The Government Property Person will also prepare shipping documentation for Government Property. The Government Property Person will also treat all Customer Owned Property in the same manner as Government Owned Property but maintain a spate database for the reporting. In addition, the Government Property Person will review all customer contracts for specific requirements associated with any Government or Customer Owned Property and ensure all these requirements are met.



This is a contract position that could last up to 9 months and possibly go permanent


Responsibilities & Tasks:


  • Will perform analysis reviews of the Property Control System.
  • Use knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation requirements, practices and standards to complete the work assignments.
  • Maintain records within the Government Property Control System.
  • Maintain a Customer Property Control database.
  • Perform routine internal audits of the 15 property functions; (Contractor Self-Oversight).
  • Coordinate annual physical inventories of Government Property located on-site and Government Property located at subcontractor sites.
  • Perform audits of Subcontractors Government Property Control System.
  • Prepare shipping documentation for Government / Customer Property as required.
  • Prepare and submit annual Government reports.
  • Prepare and submit Customer specific reports as required.
  • Submit required documents for excess Government property as required.
  • Complete disposition instructions of Government property as required.
  • Implement corrective actions plans as needed.
  • Complete training for EFW employee’s as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.


  •  Provide direction for the control and management of all Government and Customer Property in the custody of EFW, Inc.

  • Coordinates approval of disposal of surplus Government property.
  • Contract Government property close-out using Government Property Control System records.
  • Systematic reviews of EFW, Inc. Government property practices through Contractor Self-Oversight analysis.
  • Oversee corrective actions as required.
  • Maintenance of Government Property Procedure.

  • Government Property Administrator (DCMA)
  • Customer Representatives


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree is preferred; High School Diploma is required.


Specific Degree Field Preferred: Materials and/or Property Management


Certifications/Licenses (National Property Management Association):


GPA – CPPS (Contract Property Professional Specialist)           

GPS – CPPA (Contract Property Professional Administrator)     

GPM – CPPM (Contract Property Professional Manager)                                   


Experience Required:

1-3 years of functional (Using Skill Set) experience

Entry Level-Industry


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required (Unique and Measurable):


  • Experienced in a manufacturing company.
  • Knowledge of inventory audit procedures.
  • Knowledge of shipping regulations and procedures.
  • Understand and ability to manage an inventory control process.
  • Direct knowledge of Governmental inventory control procedures.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Effective inter-personal communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and explain information.
